My 2 cents about posting for a contest

Yes, I’ve decided to write this posting while entering a contest held by John Chow and Bic Pens are holding a contest and the prizes are one Flip Video Ultra and one Flip Video Mino. All you have to do in order to enter the contest is writing a comment on John’s contest post and writing a blog post linking back to John and Bic Pens. All good, right?

Be different

Wrong! After scrolling a little through John’s blog post comments, I’ve randomly picked 5 of them to make a general idea about what people are telling their readers to find on John’s blog. I was a little bit surprise to discovery that all the contest blog posts are pretty much the same. And their blogs seemed pretty nice; found some very interesting articles on one in particular.

Anyways, my advice to you is BE DIFFERENT! Try to offer your readers something more, added value. Do that and you will not only gain 5 points in John contest you may also win 5 rss subscriber because of the quality of your post!

About the prizes

Well, to be honest I didn’t knew much about Flip Video cameras, except that they are a must have for video blogging and that MarketLeverage gave one for free to all their top affiliates ( note to self- register for MarketLeverage and check their offers). I’ve found out on their web site, that is a pretty neat gadget and that I must have one. Flip Mino cost about $180 - forgot to mention that the Mino is the top end version of The Flip family - has a e Internal Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery - the other two Ultra and Video work with 2 AA Batteries - a 1.5″ LCD screen with a 528×132 resolution, 2GB internal memory and touch-sensitive capacitive buttons.
