Well, hello again everybody! It’s been a while since my last post and a lot of things happened. My blog’s page rank has improved ( I’m at PR2 right now ), I’ve earned some money with affiliate marketing ( will post more about it tomorrow ), found a great site where anyone can buy traffic and started to write a short ebook where I tell you how you can make at least $100 on-line. The book will be ready by June and it will be available for anyone who subscribes to my RSS via email.

Why I’ve stopped posting?

To be honest, I didn’t have the time to post everyday. I know this is not the best excuse, but this is the truth. Posting on my blog was not one of my priorities and when Payperpost denied my blog, because I didn’t have an archive, I’ve sort of give up. That was until a day ago, when I’ve checked my site’s value on DnScoop.com and I saw that my page rank was upgraded from a PR0 to a PR2. I’ve also saw that my back-links dropped ( they’ve been cut in half actually ) and that my traffic dropped.

The next step

Next, I though to sell my site. I’ve estimated that I could get at least $50-$60 for it. But then I’ve realized: I’m giving up. I’m not a quitter and with a few adjustments and some committed I could make this work and I will make this work. Even if I can’t post every day, I will try to post valuable articles and I will try to monetize my site.

The time has come to step up and take Entrepreneur Hut more seriously.

Well, my last post was 20 days ago. It’s been a long time, a very long time in the internet world. I wonder how I still got visits on my site.

I guess the few of you that are still reading my blog are wondering what’s up? Well, I must say, I concentrated more on my off-line business, meeting with potential customers, taking care of some paper-work for my company and stuff like that. I own a company called “Live It” that imports gadgets from UK to Romania. I’ve founded this company 1 year ago but I’ve started to use it about, hmm… 1 month ago; I had to take care of the bank accounts, the accountant, my company lawyer and much more. Maybe this post doesn’t make much sense to you but I promise I will post tomorrow in-depth details about what I’ve been doing lately.

Sorry for the late post. I should have done this yesterday, but it was a very busy day for me. I’m currently in Constanta, with business. I’ve driven yesterday the 155miles road, got here, meet with a potential client and after that went clubbing in Club Crush.

Anyways, as you know, the contest ended and I had to pick a winner out of the 4 persons that registered. I entered all the names in a list randomizer, pressed the random button and voila:

The time has come to step up, be a man and start my first ppc campaign. Hopefully I will not loose ALL the money; hopefully I will get some conversions and earn some of the money back; if not, at least I will gain some experience in this field and I will read more, learn more and try again. One important thing: don’t use moneys you can’t afford to lose (moneys to pay the bills or groceries moneys). Use your spare money and remember to set up a budget. And don’t be disappointed if you will loose some money at the beginning. Dust yourself off and try again

What to read?

I want to share with you all the free tips, e-books, articles that I’ve found on the net and read. I consider that all the basics and more are covered here and that’s all the knowledge you need in order to get started, everything for free of course.

I will start with High Performance Affiliate Marketing - a free 149 pages long e-book about affiliate marketing. This one it’s must read. It teaches you step by step what you should do to become a successful affiliate. It goes from affiliate marketing, to finding profitable affiliate opportunities, from keyword selection to building a website that sells, from seo to link building. Trust me, all you are looking for in getting started in the affiliate marketing world is here.

Another place you should check out daily and read its Googlelady and her free e-book The Adwords Quality Guide. Her site is full of affiliate marketing tip, tricks and real-life stories from an affiliate point of view. You will learn a lot by reading her posts.

What forums should you be a part of? 

Well, the first forum you should definitely be a part of is Digital Point (this is actually the only forum I am currently a part off because it offered me all I needed). You will find a lot of experience people there that will give you good advice, a lot of resources and news about seo, social media, and latest affiliate program.
Another forum I’ve just joined is SEO Chat. You will find there search engine strategies, pay per click search engines, optimization tips and a lot more information useful for an affiliate marketer.

How many people joined?

Just 4 more days until the contest ends and only 4 people joined. That means that each one of them has a 25% chance to win a $25 Apple Store Gift Card. Despite my efforts, this contest was not a big success so far. I mean, I did get traffic, but as I stated above, only 4 people joined my contest, meaning that traffic that I received on my site didn’t convert in persons that joined the contest. Did it convert in RSS subscribers? Well, when I started this article I only had 2 RSS subscribers and now I have 8, meaning a 400% increase

How did I promote my contest?

Maybe I did something wrong. Maybe I didn’t do enough work. I submitted my contest to a list of contest-blogs that I found here. I’ve used almost all my 2000 TNX points and bought 164 links to link back to my contest. Again, I didn’t use any paid traffic.

As you can see in the picture above, my traffic spiked on the 24th of February. The post about my new logo got 583 page views and the post about the contest got only 9 page views. Bottom line is there are 3 more days until the final date of the contest. If you join now you have a big chance to win.
